This work focused on developing a masterplan for the municipality of Tarija, Bolivia, based on the concepts of sustainable and integrated sanitation systems. Through diagnosis, prognosis and strategic planning, solutions adapted to the different existing settlement contexts were assigned, taking into account existing stakeholders and infrastructure. The plan covered the entire planning area as a whole, looking at the particularities of each area (urban, rural, peri-urban, etc.) and defining structural measures and service arrangements to make it possible to serve the whole population. To that end, technical visits, meetings and workshops were held in Tarija, alongside the analysis and systematization of the results.
